Owner & Prinicipal Architect

Rob Pringle

Rob is the founding architect and creative force behind Union Architecture. A graduate of BCIT’s Architecture and Building Technology program and a registered architect with the AIBC, he brings nearly two decades of experience to the firm’s growing portfolio.

His architectural philosophy centers on clarity, constructability, and collaboration. With a background in architectural technology, Rob approaches design as both an artistic and practical endeavor—balancing form and function to create spaces that are grounded, expressive, and enduring.

Rob’s leadership style is defined by openness and authenticity. He believes every successful project is born from trust—between architect, client, and consultant—and that great architecture is achieved when vision and craftsmanship meet in harmony.

Partner & Senior Building Technologist

James Saunders

James one of the partners at Union Architecture holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Science from Ryerson University, providing him with a strong educational foundation in the field. With 10 years of experience in the construction industry, he brings valuable practical knowledge and insights into every aspect of his projects.

James possesses a keen eye for aesthetics, allowing him to create visually engaging designs. His understanding of architectural ideas serves as a guiding principle in his thinking, ensuring that his creations not only meet functional needs but also embody timeless design principles.

Being on the cutting edge of new technologies is a priority for James. He stays up to date with the latest advancements in the industry, incorporating innovative solutions and sustainable practices into his designs.

James’ combination of education, experience, aesthetic sensibility and technological expertise, means he is well-equipped to tackle a diverse range of projects, transforming abstract concepts into tangible realities.

Senior Building Technologist

Jeff Rushton

Jeff is Union’s resident expert in making ideas buildable. With over two decades of experience across some of Victoria’s most respected firms—including Low Hammond Rowe Architects, Wensley Architecture, CEI Architecture, and D’Ambrosio Architecture—he brings a quiet mastery to the craft of turning design into reality.

His work spans commercial, multi-residential, and institutional projects, where his precision in working drawings and building envelope detailing ensures that design intent is never lost in translation. Known for his calm presence and collaborative nature, Jeff bridges vision and construction with understated excellence—embodying Union’s philosophy of work that is simple, and well executed.

Building Technologist : Interior Designer : Project Manager

Jordyn Erickson

As Project Manager and Interior Designer at Union Architecture, Jordyn combines creative vision with technical precision to deliver interiors that balance functionality, atmosphere, and emotion. A graduate of Vancouver Island University and a Registered Interior Designer (RID), she brings over ten years of experience in the construction industry to her multidisciplinary approach. 

Jordyn’s design philosophy is rooted in storytelling – translating the nuances of each client’s aspirations into spaces that feel deeply personal and refined. Her ability to move fluidly between design and project management ensures that intent and execution remain perfectly aligned, from early concept to final detail. 

With an eye for timeless materials and the subtleties of light, texture, and proportion, Jordyn’s interiors exude warmth and intelligence. Her work reflects Union’s belief that architecture and interior design are inseparable parts of a larger narrative – one that celebrates beauty, purpose, and human connection. 

Architect

Kevin Lin

Kevin approaches architecture as both an art and a system—a balance of creativity, clarity, and craft. With experience across Canada and abroad, including projects with LHRA, Marco Facade Studio, and Artech Architects, he brings thoughtful precision to every stage of design.

A graduate of SCI-Arc in Los Angeles and the University of Toronto, Kevin’s work reflects Union’s own ethos: simple, and beautifully executed.

Building Technologist

Poppy Walker

Poppy brings both precision and artistry to her work, combining nearly a decade of experience in architectural drafting, rendering, and design coordination. Having contributed to projects with firms such as WA Architects, Iredale Architecture, and Cover Architectural Collaborative, she excels at translating design intent into clear, buildable documentation.

With strong technical fluency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, Poppy approaches every project with care, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for craft. Her passion for sustainability and visual storytelling reflects Union’s philosophy: simple, and well executed.
